Quarter-life crisis...

...is what someone coud have thought, when looking at my shopping basket at DM drugstore. I just bought things I needed or at least thought I needed. I didn´t think about the things itself at all, just threw them in to the basket. The line was long and I looked to my basket: Cellulite peeling, eye lift serum, eye brigthener pen etc. How funny is that, it looked like a real quarter-life crisis. But the truth is, I bought the cellulite peeling, because I they didn´t have any other peeling and it smelled good, the eye lift serum just because it has good a "sehr gut" öko-test certification and so on. But all of them together looked like a panc attack in the drugstore.

 

// Synttärin jälkeisenä päivänä suuntasin DM-kauppaan tekemään enemmän ja vähemmän tarpeellisia kauneustuote ostoksia. Ostoskoriini katsoessa, olisi kyllä voinut vahvasti luulla, että kyse oli suunnitellusta iskusta kauneustuotehyllyille suurin ikäkriisin takia. En tuotteita itsessään miettinyt sen suuremmin kunhan vain heittelin koriin. Jonossa seistessä aloin katselemaan huvittuneena koriani: selluliittikuorinta-ainetta, silmänihonsilottajaseerumia, silmienkirkastuskynä jne. Tosiasia on, että koko kaupasta ei löytynyt muuta vartalonkuorinta-ainetta ja tämä tuoksukin vielä raikkaan sitruunaiselta, silmänympäryysihon silottajaseerumi taas oli saanut ökotestin "oikein hyvä" arvosanan jne. Mutta kaikkineensa tämä ostoskorillinen näytti paniikkikohtaukselta kosmetiikkahyllyllä.

 

I´m a big fan of German natural products. There are several German natural product companys, like Weleda, Lavera and Sante. Their face and body products are great and a half a year ago I also started using Sante hair products but only a conditioner. An old co-worker told me that it takes time until the hair gets use to natural hair products, especially a shampoo. She said the hair might look unwashed even though they have been washed one hour ago. That sentence made me scared of starting it: long thick hair is not a pleasure to wash every single day and the thought about having washed and dried my hair and the result is dirty looking doesn´t sound good either. But the conditioner has been so damn great that I finally bought the shampoo and thought about starting the project "let´s make my hair used to it". Let´s see how it goes ;)

 

// Olen suuri saksalaisten luonnontuotteitten fani. Saksalaisia luonnontuote merkkejä ovat mm. Weleda, Lavera ja Sante. Niiden kasvo- ja ihotuotteet on mahtavia ja aloitin myös puoli vuotta sitten käyttämään Santen hiustuotteista hoitoainetta. Entinen työkaverini kertoi, että hiuksilla kestää tottua luonnontuotteisiin, tarkoittaen että hiukset voivat alussa jopa heti pesun jälkeen näyttää likaisilta.  Tuo lause sai minut hieman pelokkaaksi, sillä pitkien paksujen hiusten pesu ei tosiaankaan ole mitään herkkua varsinkaan päivittäin ja jos ne sen lisäksi vielä näyttäisi joka kerta vain likaiselta, niin ei itku olisi kaukana. Olen kuitenkin ollut niin tyytyväinen puolen vuoden ajan jo tuohon Santen hoitoaineeseen, että lopulta päätin ostaa shampootakin ja aloittaa prosessin nimeltä "hiusten totuttaminen luonnontuotteeseen". Saas nähdä kuinka käy ;)

 

 

Mondays birthday girl

 

Once again one year older. But age is not a thing what is worth worrying about. I hope this year will be a bit better than the last one, that´s the only thing I wish for :) The last year included too many big changes, difficult decisions, long serious illness and big disappointments, it was mentally a very hard year.

 

Let´s forget about that and take a look at my birthday outfit. I had a great day with two very good friends of mine. First we went with a friend to an indian restaurant and later the other friend came with a cake made by her mother and afterwards we went out for some cocktails. A great, great day! I wore a silk skirt and a wool scarf from &Other Stories, which I got for my birthday. Combined with a Burberry denim shirt, long COS wool cardigan, Vagabond leather boots and my dark green Michael Kors bag. I fell in love with the color combination-dark green rust brown and blue!

 

// Jälleen kerran tuli vuosi lisää, mutta ikää ei pidä murehtia. Toivon ainoastaan, että tästä vuodesta tulee htusen parempi kuin edellisestä :) Viime vuosi sisälsi liian monta suurta muutosta, vaikeita päätöksiä, pitkän vakavan sairastumisen ja isoja pettymyksiä, kaiken kaikkiaan henkisesti hyvin vaikea vuosi takana.

 

Mutta siirrytään asiassa eteenpäin, nimittäin itse asuun ja synttäripäivään. Maanantaina vietin synttäreitä parinkin oikein hyvän ystävän kanssa. Ensin menin toisen ystävän kanssa intialaiseen syömään ja myöhemmin toinen hyvä ystävä tuli luokseni äitinsä tekemän kakun kanssa, josta siirryttiin Berliiniin yöhön vielä muutamalle cocktailille. Mahtava päivä kerrassaan! Päällä oli synttäriksi saatu &Other Storiesin silkkihame ja villahuivi. Nämä yhdistettynä Burberryn farkkupaitaan, COSin pitkään villatakkiin, Vagabondin nahkanilkkureihin ja Michael Korsin tummanvihreään nahkalaukkuun. Rakastuin tuohon väriyhdistelmään: tumma vihreä, ruosteenruoskea ja sininen!
